21 on rajah

Saturday was spent with my 2 halves at 21 on Rajah for the Queen's birthday dinner as promised.
Ambience was perfect, food was great and the price (was not mine to settle), pretty reasonable. Mediterranean/Asian menu serving both al'a carte and buffet. We chose the buffet, of course.
We were the first to arrive (although we were 10 minutes late from our reservation time) and had plenty of time browsing through the choice of food we wanted to take. I think the place was a pretty good choice as the food theme suited both my husband's and mother's taste. Hubby having to love steak and lobsters - the Mediterranean cuisine, while the queen with the safe choice of fried rice and chicken- the Asian cuisine. I enjoy both just as equally. The location however, was kinda less accessible, us having to walk a 20 minute distance from Novena. (Or maybe we could have taken a bus from Toa Payoh if we had gone out earlier. My bad.)
Left for Toa Payoh after the hearty meal to get the queen her birthday gift, which she took the liberty of asking for it herself. (My mother!) Found the design to her liking (and the price to my liking), and we then headed for Fork & Spoon to spy on my brother while he was working & to rub in his face that we just had a good lunch.
No really.
I loved today.
